Vividly Alive is a day-long, embodied immersion exploring death as a gateway to a more juicy and meaningful life.
By slowing down, getting into our bodies, and reflecting on our personal relationship with death, we ease anxiety, awaken gratitude, and deepen our intimacy with being alive.
This experience is for those who are ready to meet mortality with curiosity, soften fear, cultivate tools to move through grief and change, and build inner steadiness for the full arc of being human.
This immersion includes:
Embodiment practices informed by the wisdom of yoga
Imaginative journeys centered on the theme of death
Somatic experiencing through movement & meditation
All-levels yoga and breathwork
Multi-instrument sound bath
Guidance through an end-of-life envisioning and planning process
Companion journal and reflection prompts
Community reflection & connection
I’m hosting this event in partnership with the amazing Emma Weisfeld-Adams of Beautiful Life Beautiful Death (https://beautifullifebeautifuldeath.com/).
About your guides:
Emma Weisfeld-Adams is a mindfulness coach and death doula. Through her practice, Beautiful Life Beautiful Death, she helps people cultivate presence, peace, and beauty in the midst of life, loss, and change. She came to this work after facing death and grief in her own life. In searching for steadiness, she turned to meditation and somatic practices — tools that continue to anchor her work today. Since 2021, she’s supported individuals and groups navigating grief, illness, end-of-life preparation, and the ordinary messiness of being human, integrating contemplative practice with practical and compassionate support.
Jenna Harding is a yoga teacher, embodiment coach, mom, music lover, and language nerd. She founded Embodied Spirit in 2023 to offer safe, nourishing, and encouraging spaces for students at all phases of life to come home to themselves. Yogic teachings and embodiment philosophies have inspired her to live her most authentic, purpose-driven experience and serve her community. In her classes, you'll be guided and empowered to connect with your spirit, body, mind, and breath, and nurture the deepest, most authentic parts of yourself.
Testimonials:
Death Yoga with Jenna and Emma was a really transformative experience for me. I've never felt all that comfortable thinking about death, but as soon as the session started, I was able to find peace listening to Emma's comforting voice and remembering my loved ones who have gone before me. Oddly enough, it was a truly grounding experience to enter that safe reflection with a dozen strangers. And pairing that powerful exploration with Jenna's guided vinyasa flow helped bring me back to the present and focus on being alive in my body. It was an unexpected yet beautiful way to blend life and death together in an experience that I won't forget. – Aaron S.
I don’t know what I expected from the Death Yoga session, but I was surely mistaken. Between the guided meditation that created space for contemplating death and the yoga practice that grounded me in my body, I left the session feeling uplifted and profoundly alive. The instructors were lovely, and they created a space where it was safe to confront the realities of life and death without the doom and gloom you might expect. I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone and am looking forward to diving back into it myself. – Mitch C.
My experience at death yoga was deeply reflective. Emma & Jenna co-created a container that allowed each student to integrate deep emotion around the impermanence of life. The class I went to was a fusion of guided meditation, yoga, breath and community. These pillars of the practice held us all as we contemplated death and impermanence. I left feeling more free and at ease with the constant change in my life. – Brittany R.
